Around 6,000 students rated their study/teaching programme according to the criteria lecturers/teachers, equipment of the school, organisation of the school, framework/environment and teaching content. One to five stars could be awarded for each criterion. In addition, it was taken into account whether the study/teaching programme was recommended to others.

Criteria and calculation
One to five star(s) can be awarded for the following criteria:
- Lecturers/Teachers
- School equipment
- Organisation of the school
- Framework offer/environment
- Teaching content
- 1 Star = Weak
- 2 Star = Insufficient
- 3 Star = Sufficient
- 4 Star = Good
- 5 Star = Very good
Calculation formula of the ranking: ((average score x 8 + W-rate / 10) / 10) x (number of evaluations / (number of evaluations + 1)). The free text fields (message, pro and con) had no influence on the ranking.
Only schools with at least 15 testimonials and study/course programmes with 5 testimonials are included in the ranking.
