Prehistory or prehistoric archaeology analyzes the history of mankind from the beginnings of human culture to the end of antiquity in Europe. Artifacts and human remains are studied using scientific methods. Prehistoric archaeology, or prehistory and early history, focuses on the history of settlements and reconstructs the living conditions of people of the past.
