They also take on management functions in companies in the fiduciary and tax sectors as well as in the areas of auditing or bank auditing. Fiduciaries can also take care of the administration of social insurances. 

What courses of study and training are available in the field of finance and fiduciary services?

There are many continuing education options in the finance and fiduciary industry: As an entry into the field of finance and fiduciary, is suitable for the training course Sachbearbeiter/in Rechnungswesen. This course is offered, for example, by the commercial school KV Basel, as well as the further education course for accounting clerks edupool. The intermediate level created by edupool is aimed at people who want to continue their education in smaller stages, who want to return to professional life, or who want to familiarize themselves with a new field of knowledge.Afterwards, you can take a professional examination as a fiduciary and receive a federal certificate. If you take a higher professional examination as a certified expert in accounting and controlling or certified auditor, you will receive a federal diploma.

How long does it take to complete a degree or further education in the field of finance / trust?

The bachelor's degree can be completed full or part time and lasts 3 or 4 years. 

If you are aiming for, for example, a professional certificate as a fiduciary or a higher professional examination as a certified fiduciary expert, the further education takes 1-3 years. In certain cases, the duration is also given in lessons. This is the case, for example, with business schools or further education as an accounting clerk - here the duration is around 200-250 lessons. If you enroll in a college of higher education and train there as a graduate in business administration, you have to expect 2-5 years.

How much does the study, training or continuing education cost?

Depending on the educational institution, the study costs between 4,200.- and 6,000.- francs. At a private university, the cost is 45'000.- to 50'000.- francs. At a professional examination or a higher professional examination, costs can range from 5,000 to 15,000 francs. The costs for attending a higher technical college, on the other hand, vary greatly depending on the area of training and range from 10,000 to 50,000 francs.
