<p>Veterinary medicine develops measures that treat the health and well-being of sick or injured animals. Causes and commonalities of diseases are analyzed in order to cure and treat animals. In addition, diseases are researched and treated to protect humans from harm caused by animal diseases. The control of the origin of animal foodstuffs is also one of the tasks of veterinary medicine.</p>

<p>In these fields of study, the focus is primarily on humans (or animals). Diseases, disabilities and other limitations of the human (or animal) body are studied. Some majors, such as human, veterinary or dental medicine, can only be studied at a university. The university of applied sciences is suitable for people who are interested in studying or continuing their education as a midwife, physical or occupational therapist, for example.</p>
