Microengineering creates miniature-sized electrical components used in medical devices or navigation systems, for example. This field of study deals with manufacturing, production and the application of the respective product, i.e. with the entire process development. For this purpose, knowledge from the fields of mathematics, electrical engineering, physics, mechanics, materials science and computer science is used.
