<p>Special education is composed of the fields of education, medicine and psychology. The goal is to ensure a needs-based and individual education and upbringing for people with special educational needs. In doing so, personality development, autonomy and social integration are to be promoted.</p>

<p>Whoever wants to become a teacher or therapist chooses a course of study in teaching and pedagogical professions. Pedagogical issues are used to address the development of students. A course of study or further education takes place at universities of applied sciences, colleges of education or universities. Early registration is advised, as study places may be limited in some cases.&nbsp;</p>
