Innovative approaches to manage digitalisationAs a business informatics specialist, you work at the interface between business, information technology and innovation. You speak the language of business as well as the language of information technology. Your communication skills allow you to bridge the gap between the two fields. You hold discussions with all the Stakeholders and recognise their needs and requirements. You are also familiar with the challenges and processes of companies. At the same time, you know the technical possibilities of information technology and digitalisation. In this way, you ensure optimal interaction and actively participate in the further development and optimisation of your company.As a business information technology specialist you will find broad opportunities for varied roles in IT services and consulting or in the IT departments of companies and public administrations. In your job you have to consider the needs of users while being aware of the technical, organisational and financial resources available. To find the best possible solution you will liaise with internal and external partners and use appropriate models to describe your findings.Your studies will equip you with the ability to systematically analyse big data within an organisation and actively shape business processes. You can work in a consulting role to develop new e-business services and prepare the successful launch of new products. As you gain experience you will develop leadership skills, effectively driving the digital aspects of a corporate strategy.
