Die Akupunktur ist eine von fünf Behandlungsmethoden der traditionellen Chinesischen Medizin (TCM), einem der ältesten Heilsystemen der Welt. Die Akupunktur dient der Behandlung von Krankheiten und der Erhaltung der Gesundheit und kann bei gesundheitlichen Themen breit eingesetzt werden. Akupunkteurinnen und Akupunkteure stimulieren energetische Punkte auf dem Körper mit feinen Nadeln und regulieren dadurch die Körpersysteme.
Natural medicine, Chinese medicine/acupuncture (including Chinese massage Tuina), traditional naturopathy, Western medicine (anatomy, physiology, pathology, clinical medicine, psychology). Depending on the training institution, the offer may vary.
In most cases, the training lasts 3-4 years and is completed on a part-time basis.
A completion of upper secondary education, e.g. vocational apprenticeship or Matura. Requirements may vary depending on the educational institution.
After graduating, students can take the Higher Professional Examination for Naturopaths, leading to a federal diploma. Admissions are regulated on a cantonal basis.
After training, a wide range of job opportunities is open to you. In addition to having your own practice, it is also possible to be employed by a healthcare institution (hospital, rehab clinic, pain center). Treatments by accredited therapists are reimbursed by the supplementary insurance. Regular continuing education must be demonstrated in order to maintain licensure.
