Admission to the course is subject to passing an aptitude test aimed at assessing the artistic and creative skills of applicants. Students with school leaving examination from an artistic or technical high school in a discipline related to the field of study, or with school leaving examination from an artistic grammar school are granted direct admittance to the aptitude test, while those with other forms of school leaving examination must first complete a foundation year.
Applicants aged more than 25 and who lack these qualifications may be admitted provided they have significant training and work experience.

The Bachelor’s Degree in conservation trains experts in the understanding, documentation and conservation of objects of cultural heritage.
Students are given an interdisciplinary and structured education, combining scientific and humanistic subjects, theoretical aspects and operational skills, focusing on materials, artistic techniques, the conservation state of objects, the degradation phenomena present and an understanding of their causes.
