Master of Advanced Studies (MAS)

AVES is an innovative program designed for professional young singers. Developed by Anthony Rooley and Evelyn Tubb (formerly Consort of Musicke), it has been offered since the fall semester 2008/09. The next cycle has been guided by a new teachers’ staff.<h4>Content</h4>The rich and diverse repertoire for vocal ensembles in Renaissance and Baroque European music.&nbsp;Intensive weeks including rehearsal, vocal technique, language coaching, music history, cultural background, preparation of materials, public presentation and close feedback.

<ul><li>Highest level in vocal ensemble singing</li><li>leading an ensemble from within the group</li><li>development and realization of own performance projects, addressing different repertoires of and approaches to vocal ensemble singing.</li></ul> Participation in AVES is available as elective for vocal students enrolled in a master program at the SCB.
