Higher vocational education is a further education option in vocational education and training and thus complements the universities, the universities of teacher education and the universities of applied sciences within the Swiss education system. A distinction is made between courses of study at higher vocational schools (HF), the professional examination (BP) as well as the higher professional examination (HFP).
