Environmental engineering includes various disciplines of engineering. This science deals with questions from the technical environmental protection and environmental planning. It also deals with the inevitable use of important resources and the preservation of valuable and natural systems. Examples include waste engineering, air pollution control, land use planning, and environmental planning.

Physics, chemistry and biology belong to the traditional natural sciences. In the meantime, the natural sciences have become interlinked with other subjects, with environmental sciences being considered part of the systems-oriented natural sciences. The focus here is on aspects of the animate and inanimate environment. Courses such as biology, physics or geography can only be studied at universities and the ETH. In addition, chemistry or environmental engineering can also be learned at a university of applied sciences.&nbsp;

Nature and environment

The completion of a course of study in technical sciences qualifies for professions in which new things are designed and products are further developed. At universities, approaches to research are taught, while a degree or continuing education at a university of applied sciences is more practice-oriented.&nbsp;
