Educational science / Pedagogy

Education can be divided into four specialties. General and historical education focus on theories, methods, possibilities and limits of education. Educational psychology, on the other hand, mainly analyzes the mental development of children and adolescents. It also examines the effects of teaching methods on learning success and communication between students and teachers. Social pedagogy analyzes the care of children and adolescents growing up in institutions such as homes, reintegration centers or penal institutions. Special education aims to accompany and support people with physical, psychological or mental impairments. Educational science / pedagogy should not be confused with the educational professions in terms of teaching, since educational science does not train for a teaching job.
