Ethnology / Social Anthropology

The ethnology or social anthropology deals with all cultures of the world and compares them. The respective languages, art, music and religions are analyzed and the political, economic and technological aspect is addressed. The goal of this science is to understand why people act the way they do and how this is related to their culture. Basically, classical ethnology deals mainly with non-European cultures, but topics such as urban life or social power structures can also be analyzed.
