Là où de nombreuses personnes vivent et travaillent, existent également des activités de maintenance baptisées Services Généraux (en anglais, « Facility Management ») : installations industrielles, écoles, bureaux, hôpitaux ou espaces résidentiels. Les diplômés de la présente filière d’études ont pour objectif d’œuvrer, en arrière-plan, afin d’assurer la maintenance courante des patrimoines et bien immobiliers et de permettre, ainsi, à leurs clients et utilisateurs dits « finaux » de se concentrer sur leurs activités principales opérationnelles ou de production. Les Services Généraux favorisent l’amélioration des processus techniques, infrastructurels et commerciaux liés à la planification et à l’utilisation de bâtiments.
