Beurteilung und Analyse sind wichtige ICT-Skills, um in der Informatik erfolgreich anspruchsvolle Aufgaben zu bewältigen. Sie stehen bei dieser Weiterbildung deshalb im Vordergrund. Nach Abschluss des eidgenössischen Diploms als «ICT-Manager/-in» sind Sie aufgrund des neu erworbenen Wissens in der Lage, im Berufsfeld Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie ICT eine höhere Führungsaufgabe zu übernehmen.
Als dipl. ICT-Manager/ICT-Managerin entwickeln Sie Informatikstrategien, die sowohl den Kunden wie auch der Unternehmensstrategie gerecht werden (Alignment). Das ICT-Diplom befähigt Sie, Führungsinformationssysteme eines Unternehmens zu entwerfen und zu verwalten. Sie unterstützen Prozesse mit Hilfe von Informatikmitteln und sind fähig, Projektteams ergebnisorientiert zu führen. ICT-Managerinnen und -Manager eruieren Integrations- und Einflussbereiche für die Wahl der Informatik-Architekturen und sind in der Lage, Projektcontrollings aufzubauen und durchzuführen.

Higher vocational education is a further education option in vocational education and training and thus complements the universities, the universities of teacher education and the universities of applied sciences within the Swiss education system. A distinction is made between courses of study at higher vocational schools (HF), the professional examination (BP) as well as the higher professional examination (HFP). According to the federal government, higher vocational education and training is: "...competence- and labor market-oriented; it promotes application-based learning, the rapid implementation of new technical knowledge and a high rate of innovation.".
