Die Controller Akademie ist im Jahre 2000 vom veb.ch, dem Verband diplomierter Experten in Rechnungslegung und Controlling &nbsp;und der Inhaber des Fachausweises im Finanz- und Rechnungswesen, und vom &nbsp;Kaufmännischen Verband Zürich gemeinsam als Aktiengesellschaft gegründet worden.
Zum einen ist die Controller Akademie die Antwort auf die stark gestiegenen &nbsp;Anforderungen, die an die Ausbildung zum dipl. Experten / zur dipl. Expertin in Rechnungslegung und Controlling gestellt werden; zum anderen &nbsp;ist sie eine der wichtigsten Anbieterinnen von Rechnungslegungs- und Controlling-Studiengängen auf höchster Ebene.

Higher vocational education is a further education option in vocational education and training and thus complements the universities, the universities of teacher education and the universities of applied sciences within the Swiss education system. A distinction is made between courses of study at higher vocational schools (HF), the professional examination (BP) as well as the higher professional examination (HFP). According to the federal government, higher vocational education and training is: "...competence- and labor market-oriented; it promotes application-based learning, the rapid implementation of new technical knowledge and a high rate of innovation.".
